Placing two glass squares in the kiln, arranged in the shape of a Star of David, can transform them into a rounded pebble.
Stringer glass consists of thin, rod-like pieces of glass that are perfect for adding fine lines and intricate details to your fused glass projects. These slender strands bring precision and artistry to your creations.

Puddles and muddles refer to a glass fusing technique where multiple pieces of glass are layered and fully fused together to create a smooth, organic surface that resembles a puddle or a muddle of colors. The glass is then broken into smaller pieces and refired to achieve unique, abstract designs. This method is popular for creating jewelry cabochons, decorative elements, and textured art pieces.
Black iridescent glass is a stunning type of glass that features a beautiful, shimmering surface with a rainbow-like effect. This unique glass adds a touch of elegance and mystique to any fused glass project.
Scrap glass, or extra pieces, refers to leftover bits of glass from larger projects. These seemingly insignificant fragments can be repurposed into beautiful new creations, showcasing the beauty and versatility of fused glass.
Sheet glass is the starting point for many fused glass projects. These flat, uniform pieces of glass come in a variety of colors, textures, and thicknesses, providing a versatile and reliable base for your creations.

Glass fusing involves heating pieces of glass in a kiln until they bond together. It's a creative and artistic process that allows you to design and create unique glass art pieces.
No prior experience is necessary! Our studio is open to all skill levels, from beginners to experienced artists. We are here to guide you through the process.
No, all glass is cut for you. You will use glass embellishments that we provide to create your piece of art.
No, the kiln will be operated by the Glass Fusion Studio staff. Your only job is to create a masterpiece and enjoy the process!
Please wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting a little dirty. Closed-toe shoes are required for safety reasons.
Participants must be at least 10 years old. Children and glass can be a bit of a scary combination for us! But you know your child better than anyone. If they're beyond the age of putting random stuff in their mouth and can respect others' space, they're welcome to join the fun. At Glass Fusion Studio, it's Safety first, masterpieces second!
A typical session lasts two hours. This includes designing, arranging, and glueing your glass pieces to your creation.
NO! We provide all the necessary materials for your project. We use COE 96 glass that is melted and cooled down at specific temperatures and times. When glasses with different COE are fused together, they expand and contract at different rates during heating and cooling. This mismatch can create internal stress within the glass, causing it to crack or shatter. Not only can you damage your project, but others that are in the kiln too.
We know your fused glass project will be crafted with care, passion, and sometimes, just a sprinkle of chaos. Bubbles, quirky shapes, and happy little accidents often sneak their way in—consider these unique features part of the artwork's handmade charm and character! Rest assured, we stand by your creation and will work with you to make things right.
Your finished piece will need time to cool and undergo additional processes after fusing. Typically, your artwork will be ready for pickup within seven days. After the initial full fuse, some projects require an additional fuse to slump the piece into a mold. We’ll notify you once your masterpiece is ready for pickup!
Yes! We offer private events and group sessions for parties, corporate events, and other special occasions. Max 6 people. Please contact us for more information and to book your event.
No worries at all! Just contact us to reserve a date and time that works for both of us, and we'll handle the rest. Glass Fusion Studio will find the additional participants to join your group and ensure everyone has a fantastic time.
